On September 16th 2019，UNA-China hosted a workshop on UN Peacekeeping Operations. About 20 international and domestic experts and scholars from a wide range of organizations including Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Chr. Michelsen Institute, Chinese Ministry of National Defense, China Institute for International Strategic Studies, China Peacekeeping Police Training Center and National Defense University of People’s Liberation Army attended the Workshop. The participants exchanged views on such topics as the effectiveness of UN peacekeeping operations, challenges in implementing POC (Protection of Civilians) mandate, primacy of politics and strengthening the linkage between peacekeeping operations and development.
