On November 30th,Ms.Hu Wenli, Vice President and Director-General of the United Nations Association of China, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the High-Level Session of the2024 World Model United Nations and deliver akeynotespeech. Theevent was jointly organized by China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Educationand Beijing Foreign Studies University, with nearly 600 young people from 15 countries participating.

Ms.Hu stated in her speech that the UN, as the most universal, representative, and authoritative intergovernmental organization in the world, has made important contributions to maintaining world peace, promoting global development, and advancing international human rights governance. Shehoped thatstudentswoulduse the World Model UN as a platform to learn about the UN,andunderstand multilateral foreign policies. She also encouraged young people toestablish a global perspective, strengthen learning and thinking, actively practice and exercise, and lay a solid foundation for effective participation in global governance in the future.
