2024 ROK-China-Japan UNAs Trilateral Presidents Meeting and the 12th ROK-China-Japan Youth Forum Held in the ROK

From August 19 to 24, the 2024 ROK-China-Japan UNAs Trilateral Presidents Meeting and the 12th ROK-China-Japan Youth Forum was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK).

The theme of the Trilateral Presidents Meeting is "Redefining the Role of the United Nations and Global Governance in the Transformative World: Toward A Fresh Approach with Visionary Thinking". Topics include AI and global human progress, global health and human security, East Asian culture and soft power. Participants include

The theme of the Youth Forum is "Towards a More Cooperative and Sustainable Global Community: Empowering North East Asian Youth Through Active Engagement and Knowledge Sharing". Topics cover low-birth rate and aging society, drug addiction and drug trafficking, plastic pollution, UN Security Council reform, AI & digital era, Electric Vehicle, and biodiversity. The Youth Forum is composed of panel discussion, team debate and cultural event. 60 university students from China, Japan and the ROK attended the Forum.


Since 2010, the Trilateral Presidents Meeting and the Youth Forum have been held in China, Japan and the ROK in rotation. Next year, the event will be held in Japan.
