Vice-President and Director-General Hu Wenli Headed a Delegation to the 43rd WFUNA's Plenary Assembly

From November 7 to 10, the 43rd Plenary Assembly of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) was held in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, with the theme of “Partnerships for Impact”. More than 200 delegates from 39 countries’ UN Associations, UN Secretariat and UN specialized agencies, civil society and private sector of different countries attended the meeting. UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of the Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy Ms. Ulrika Modéer delivered a video speech. The Assembly discussed issues on multilateralism, sustainable development, education, health etc., and adopted Tbilisi Declaration, which emphasizes to adhere to multilateralism for the promotion of international peace and security, development and prosperity. 


Ms. Hu Wenli, Vice-President and Director-General of the United Nations Association of China (UNA-China) headed a delegation to attend the Assembly, had in-depth discussion on different topics and extensive communication with participants. During the Assembly, UNA-China hosted the panel discussion on “Bring together civil society for sustainable development”, and actively shared the Global Development Initiative.
